The Cube Art Exhibition

A stunning gallery of artworks constructed from more than 30,000 Cubes

2024 marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Rubik’s Cube. Ernő Rubik, a Hungarian architecture professor, created a prototype of the 3D cube in 1974 and used it to teach his students about 3D spaces.  With more than 500 million Cubes sold to date, the Cube has become an icon, known around the world as a puzzle, design object, mechanical device, metaphor for complexity, three-dimensional mathematical model, and architectural concept, as well as the world’s bestselling puzzle game and bestselling toy.

The exhibition The Cube Art, spanning over 700 square meters, presents a stunning gallery of artworks constructed from approximately 30,000 Cubes, including such as Frida Kahlo (432 Cubes), Mona Lisa (1120 Cubes), Einstein (352 Cubes) and many more. The exhibition also presents 2 Guinness World Record-winning pieces: a model of Michelangelo’s “The Creation of Adam,” built from over 12,000 cubes, and Leonardo da Vinci’s  “The Last Super” from 4,750 cubes.

The visitors also have an opportunity to test Smart Cube room with game stands and Go Cube gadget, a playroom for children aged 3-5, and documentary film on the history of Rubik’s Cube and the cube art creations.
