Canadian media reviews

La Presse:

“…and when she keeps her final note for long seconds, we can only salute the exceptional voice, the sense of spectacle and the gift of the artist that we feel flowing throughout the room…”

“…when she sings Un dernier mot d’amour, accompanied only by the piano and the cello, we can see to what extent her voice is not only powerful, but also subtle and capable of lots of nuances…”

Dimanche:

” …after an absence of more than 35 years, Mireille Mathieu knew how to live up to expectations, as well as her status as an icon: touching, warm and, above all, in absolutely spectacular vocal form. In short, the very definition of a triumphant return.”

“…ovations would quickly become regular, even almost systematic, as the evening progressed. Many fans also came towards the stage, bouquets of flowers in their hands as an offering and a mark of affection for their idol. In living memory, we have never seen such a warm and captivated crowd in a venue in the metropolis.”

Le Devoir:

“…In 60 years, the world has changed, fashions have passed, but Mireille Mathieu has always remained the same. The same iconic jet black hair, that famous cut, instantly recognizable. And above all the same voice, powerful and intoxicating…”
